After more than a decade away from making music, Andy Allan found himself pulled back in by the most unexpected spark — his son and his son’s friends. Their enthusiasm lit the fuse, pushing Andy to pick up his instruments again and blend his own lifelong influences with the fresh sounds of a new generation. Under the name Aboubacar, they’ve crafted their debut album, a vibrant collection that weaves together a couple of long‑lost, never‑released tracks with a wave of brand‑new material. Titled “Follow Me,” the album delivers nine tracks that fuse modern samples with real instruments and raw, honest vocals — absolutely no autotune, just pure expression.
